So here we are…(8/8/10)

Many of you will see new sites, designs and re-vamping of services. My new commitment to all of my clients and new ones. And a new commitment to myself.

A few things:

1. Periodically I’ll be adding updates about the services, progress of campaigns and specials. I’ll also be adding articles that will help each of you in your marketing efforts online.

2. I was recently made aware that there’s a woman out there talking with people and referring them to Signups-Guaranteed.us – telling them it’s her site and even saying her name is Michelle. She sells PAID guaranteed signups and only refers them to my site to apparently give credibility to herself. She also tells people to not buy at the site but buy direct from her.

Now, what are PAID SIGNUPS? Signups to programs that require payment upfront. I have never sold them nor do I ever plan to sell them. I encourage people to dig deep with research before paying for this service. I personally know one women in Canada that stole over $50,000. These types of signups are expensive and I have yet to hear a success story in the 9 years I’ve been selling signups for free-to-join programs.

I can’t and won’t recommend to anyone to buy them or refer you to someone that does. I can’t contribute to the hurt you will most likely experience in the future.

Before buying anything online you need to do due diligence. Ask yourself these questions before you buy:

1. Is there seller contact information? Not a form to fill out to contact them. But do you know the seller’s name? Where they are? Who they are? Can you call them? IF NOT, think twice before buying.

2. Type their domain name into google search and them put SCAM or FRAUD next to it. Example: rapidvisits.com scam — see what comes up. IF anything comes up and it’s in forums, see how many people have posted scam/fraud alerts. If it’s just one or two posting everywhere, well most likely they will complain about a lot of things and post everywhere – their way of venting to the world and redirecting away from their own troubled world. As Sellers/Providers we cannot please all. And when you are already an angry person it’s very easy to vent online hiding behind the monitor and keyboard.

3. Do they have testimonies? I don’t have testimonies up yet on my new sites but they are in a folder ready for publication. Testimonies are good – but hey, anyone that builds a site can compose anything on that site, fact or fiction. Years ago I used to have the person’s testimony end with their email address. But with all the hijacking that goes on it puts them in jeopardy of spam and everything else so I no longer do that. BUT, I do put their full names now and prospects can simply google that person.

4. Put the Seller’s/Provider’s name in Google. Example: Michelle Raybourn. See what comes up. It goes a number of pages deep and then some on me. If they’ve been around a while and have done many things, you’ll see a few pages at least.

5. Trust your instincts. Trust your gut.

Ok, so this is the start of the new blog. I invite you to subscribe so you can be updated on posts. TRUST ME, I’m not going to be here every day posting new things. I’m getting older and I just don’t have the time or energy anymore! ;-)
